The Imperial doctor had started serving his majesty when he was still the crown prince. In all these years, he had never ever seen his majesty laugh at all! It was even more impossible for him to see his majesty to laugh with such abandon. The Imperial doctor was used to people admiring him and thought that his career was in tatters now. Perhaps he still had not hit rock bottom yet, his heart told him that perhaps his majesty had been so angry that he was now reacting abnormally!
The Imperial doctor was feeling slightly faint when he said:
“Perhaps Jin had made a wrong diagnosis! Since it had only just been a month!”
The emperor did not expect him to utter such words. He turned his head and stared at him coldly:
“Wrong diagnosis?”
“No no no, that’s not it!” The imperial doctor shook his head.
“Tell Zen clearly!”
“Jin, when Jin took the pulse of the Princess, perhaps it was too early, so it might be a little hard to tell...”
Actually the Imperial doctor was already very sure of his capabilities. He knew that he had made no mistakes but he still could not get a feel of his majesty’s current attitude.
Li Yue frowned once more:
“Are there any other explanations for this?!” The imperial doctor frantically shook his head, he mulled over the decision for a while then decided to just do it:
“Sire, Jin is 90% sure that the diagnosis is correct!”
Li Yue was not an unreasonable emperor, so he knew that there was always a one out of ten thousand chance that an error would be made. When the Imperial doctor said this, his frown lifted a little then he asked again:
“When can you confirm this?”
“Jin can confirm it half a month later, Sire!”
“Good. You will stay here within this half a month.”
“Yes.”
The Imperial doctor accepted his orders. He then thought: Who is the father of the princess’ child?!
While the thought was simmering inside his head, a soft sound came from within the bed curtains. The imperial doctor immediately lowered his head and saw his majesty’s feet moved then he went in after that. He didn’t feel that this was odd at all as his majesty had always been attentive to the Princess since she was young.
“Did you wake up?” He heard his majesty say through the curtains.
“Fu Huang... ooo...”
The imperial doctor finally thought that something was not quite right. Why was this sound so similar to the sounds made during int!m@cy...
Li Yue didn’t wait for her to open her eyes when he bent down and landed a string of kisses on her face. He kissed Zhen Zhen until she was in danger of running out of breath and only released her after that. Li Zhen Zhen slid out her hands.
“Want Fu Huang to hug....”
Li Yue climbed further in and sat with his back leaning against the headboard then carefully lifted Zhen Zhen into his arms. He then caressed the tender skin of her tummy. He pressed his mouth on her ears and said in a voice that was as gentle as the lake’s water on a fine Spring day:
“Is darling’s body uncomfortable anywhere?”
“No...” Li Zhen Zhen looked at him curiously and saw that Li Yue’s face had a kind of warmth that she had never seen before. Her heart melted while she adorably pouted her lips and leaned her face closer on Li Yue’s body.
“Fu Huang should not allow Zhen Zhen to do such things in the future!”
Was she referring to the fact that he f*cked her until she squirted?
“What kind of things?” Li Yue couldn’t help but tease her.
“Hmmm!”
Li Zhen Zhen turned her body away in shyness.
Li Yue chuckled then turned her back again in his embrace. He tightened his arms then his palm reached down once more to rub her tummy.
Every single consort he had so far, including the Empress were all arranged by his most hated nemesis, the Dowager Empress.
He was still young at the time but his birth mother was never loved by the previous emperor and he was not supported by his maternal family as well. His Empress mother had passed away early on so he had no one else to rely on. He had always been the rightful heir of the original Empress, so his body was extremely important but he stood out like a sore thumb while he lived inside the palace. The dowager Empress married into the family to secure her title as the succeeding Empress. The previous Emperor adored her unlike the previous Empress but she kept wishing for him to die, but he persistently did not.
He endured the humiliation that she had shown him for many years and learnt political management, reading books and practiced his martial art in the dark. This was so that one day, he could prove it to his people, the heavens and all the land under the sky that he was a capable Emperor.
That he was fit to be in this position.
In the end, women did not matter much to him.
It was only the stupid Dowager Empress who thought that she wanted to use the women around him to control his actions. He coldly witnessed the Dowager Empress arrange for women to fill up his harem. He thought that he would spend the rest of his life like this, watching the Imperial harem being filled with various flowers and having a lot of children and in the end, he can only spend his nights sleeping alone in his dragon bed. Time slowly pass on with him pondering how it could have been while he felt lonely deep inside.
He didn’t think that there was anything wrong with this since he was the Emperor. The only sure thing that he possessed was the almost limitless power that an Emperor always had.
He thought that he enjoyed his lonesome days.
Who knew that 15 years ago, a woman would then birth a little darling for him.
Li Zhen Zhen’s birth mother had just been a court lady and she was the only woman that the Dowager Empress did not arrange for. That day he was called by his Empress to the palace of the Dowager Empress and was drugged once more because the Empress was trying to put her own paternal cousin sister in the harem. His emotions froze over as he had enough of their tricks. He rather sleep with a court lady than fall for the Empress’ plans once more!

She was also the only child who didn’t result from their evil plans.

He carried his little surprise in his arms while looking at her, rubbing her soft tender cheeks and lips and saw her Black Opal eyes. He told her in his heart:
“Darling, Fu Huang will definitely become a good Emperor and make you the happiest little Princess under the skies.
More than ten years had pass since he had such tender, warm and loving emotions that were hard to forget. Li Yue still remembered every single second of it.
It was only after that, that Li Yue knew that this surprise was indeed the biggest surprise that keeps on giving.
She was not his real daughter.
The lord in heaven was afraid that he will be alone throughout his lifetime so he purposefully put a darling on his path.
Li Yue had always paid very little attention to his daughter’s or son’s relationship with him. His mind had rivers, mountains and the struggles and happiness of his citizens to worry about. His happiness did not mean anything when it was compared to all this.
Now that his citizens were happy, he himself was finally worthy of being happy too.
He thought that perhaps this was his own happiness sprouting its buds.
Under his palms was Li Zhen Zhen’s soft little tummy. Now there was still no visible change on it but Li Yue knew that there already was a small life incubating inside.
This life came exclusively from him and Li Zhen Zhen. It's the only little life that they can both put their full trust on.
It was only then that he realized how much joy and happiness he felt.
For the first time, he finally understood the very meaning of the word “joy”.
Li Yue felt humbled by the thankfulness that filled his heart that he started to feel the tears threatening to come out from his eyes.
Li Zhen Zhen didn’t know what went through inside his head, so she tilted her head up and softly called for him:
“Fu Huang...”
Li Yue finally broke away from his reverie and dipped his head to look at Zhen Zhen’s dazed eyes. Warmth flowed from his heart as he held Zhen Zhen’s chin then kissed her soft lips once more.
He kissed until Zhen Zhen couldn’t stop moaning. Her chest rose up, wanting the touch of Li Yue. Li Yue’s palms instinctively reacted to her by rubbing her little t*ts. Li Zhen Zhen had not been rubbed gently like this for a very long time because when they both became intimate, their arousal would overcome them both so they always used up their energy.
She also liked this type of soft and gentle caress, making her whimper in comfortable pleasure.
Li Yue gnawed on her plush lips while his palms lovingly rubbed her little tummy.
The Imperial doctor outside was shocked to the bone that he froze on the spot and was unable to move. It was Gao Sheng who finally pitied him and came in to drag him outside. He almost couldn’t stand properly. Gao Sheng laughed at him.
“What did your lordship see inside the room?”
“I saw nothing!”
The Imperial doctor shook his head hurriedly.
He would never utter a single stray word out even if he had to die for it!
It was when he calmed down that he only thought: How was his majesty going to solve such a problem?! Or maybe he was going to build a gold fortress and keep his paramour inside?!

“When you say these words, you mean that now you know about all these you don’t want Fu Huang anymore?”
Li Zhen Zhen hurriedly shook her head:
“No! Zhen Zhen only wants Fu Huang! But, my Consort Mother...”
She raised her head to look at Li Yue,
“Fu Huang, am I really that shameless? Did I really do something wrong?”
Li Yue kissed her once more then kissed her tears and said even gently:
“Zen’s little princess is the purest woman underneath the skies so you didn’t s3duc3 Fu Huang and you didn’t steal your mother’s man. Zen’s little princess’ heart only yearns for one man, isn’t that so?”
Li Zhen Zhen nodded her head immediately:
“Yes, that’s it!”
“Then what is there to be afraid for?” Li Yue looked at her again.
“Tell Zen, which man does your heart yearn for.”
Zhen Zhen had uttered such lovey dovey words countless times to Li Yue, but it only happened when they were int1m@te so she felt a little shy thinking about it now.
Yet when she saw the hope within Li Yue’s eyes, she gently leaned on his chest once more and whispered:
“Zhen Zhen’s heart yearns for Fu Huang.”
“What is Fu Huang’s name?”
“Ah?”
“Say it.”
“Li, Li Yue.” Zhen Zhen said softly.
Endless joy filled Li Yue’s heart.
“Then who does your heart yearn for?”
Zhen Zhen blushed then while she couldn’t help but squirmed in his arms. She lowered her head and said in a timid voice:
“Zhen Zhen’s heart yearns for Li, Li Yue...”
“Look straight into Zen’s eyes and say that.” Li Zhen Zhen’s little hands curled up into fists then she raised her head up in determination. Her little face had flushed completely red.
“Li Zhen Zhen’s heart yearns for Li Yue!”
The corner of Li Yue’s lips tipped up to reveal a brilliant smile and it melted the years that had accumulated on his face.
He dipped his head. He decided not to suppress his emotions anymore and landed a gentle kiss in between her brows:
“Li Yue’s heart also yearns for Li Zhen Zhen.”
TL: Ah... the feels... I think so far the story was the most delicately written for this chapter. The next chapter will be the last one!
So romantic! At the beginning of the story, I really thought the Emperor was a lusty man who had a bunch for women because that was the norm, so it comes as a surprise when the author made the decision for it not to be his choice. The harem is usually made a place where women struggle, yet in this story, we see that the Emperor too can be used by the harem, so interesting! This is such a cute story, thanks for translating ππΈ
