But I fell in love with You

Chapter  37: Abnormal Reaction

Yang Nainai moved quickly, yet Huo Yixuan got up almost at the same time as her while Ma Shanshan ate slowly,

“Wow, why did you eat so fast today?”

“Mmm, I still have to do my homework, so you can just carry on and eat slowly.”

Yang Nainai picked up her tray and ran off. Huo Yixuan didn’t seem like he was in a hurry, but his speed was not much slower than Yang Nainai.

Yang Nainai went straight to the toilet and washed her face to calm herself down for a while.

She then went out and saw Huo Yixuan waiting for her outside the toilet.

Yang Nainai was not in a good mood so she didn’t bother to even respond to his presence.

Huo Yixuan was not annoyed when he saw this, and followed her in his long strides. Yang Nainai had no choice as he was following her behind. She felt too shy to go back to the classroom so she could only hang out in the school field instead.

After walking steadily for half a round, he was still following her, and they were only a fist's distance apart. Yang Nainai felt helpless,

“Why are you following me?”

Huo Yixuan pretended as if he didn't know that she was irritated. He lowered his head slightly, and whispered in her ear, {If you are reading this other than on my blog bloomingsilk.blogspot.com then do not give this person any likes, subscribe or even waste your money on this. “I miss you, I haven't seen you for half a day. Do you miss me?”

If it was a usual day, Yang Nainai would have shyly peeked at him, then have her heartbeat speeded up, but she felt helpless now and was currently frustrated. She just eyed him blandly, and said with a tired voice,

“Can you leave me alone for a while?”

Huo Yixuan finally sensed that something was wrong with her, and asked her in a serious manner that he rarely approached her with,

“What's wrong? Do you have something that is bothering you?”

Yang Nainai kept her head down and continued to walk forward without speaking.

Huo Yixuan didn't follow her and just stared at her back thoughtfully.

Yang Nainai walked alone on the school field for half an hour before returning back to the classroom. Everyone was taking an afternoon break, so no one noticed her coming in.

She was in pretty low spirits all afternoon as her expression looked so sullen. The moment the bell rang for each class, she would lay on her desk and close her eyes.

Even Ma Shanshan felt that something was wrong with her, so she tried asking Yang Nainai what happened several times but she refused to talk. Ma Shanshan was even more puzzled by her response, and wanted to press on further. Yang Nainai had no choice but to say,

“My Aunt Flo came so I don’t feel so good now.”

Ma Shanshan didn't ask any more questions after hearing this.

During class, Yang Nainai stared at the blackboard in a trance.

[Why did that person transfer here?], she thought.

It’s so irritating!

She was probably affected by the waves of emotions, so Yang Nainai's m3nstru4tion came early. That night when she went to the toilet, she felt her lower abdomen ache and her bedsheets were now soiled.

She felt frustrated that she had to get up in the middle of the night to wash the sheets. She faced the mirror while washing and said,

“Yang Nainai, gather up your energy. It's been a long time since that thing happened. What's so great about that b4st4rd? What are you afraid of? If he dares to harm you again, then you will definitely retaliate and make him taste your wrath.”

Yang Nainai woke up feeling much better the next day. She thought she was ready to face him, yet when she bumped into that person at the school gate, she was so frightened that she immediately turned and hid until that person entered his own classroom. She then quickly ran into her classroom.

For several days, whenever Yang Nainai detected even a small corner of the person's clothes or heard his voice, she would dodge and hide away from him. She didn’t wish to meet this person at all.

The weather was fine today, and she already had her lunch too. She sat alone on the steps beside school field, watching Huo Yixuan play basketball.

Even though the girls no longer blatantly pursued Huo Yixuan, they did not stop watching him when opportunity came. Everytime Huo Yixuan scored a goal, the girls cheered.

Huo Yixuan waved his hand in Yang Nainai's direction, and the girls who sat at her section screamed with joy.{If you are reading this other than on my blog bloomingsilk.blogspot.com then do not give this person any likes, subscribe or even waste your money on this. Yang Nainai swallowed expressionlessly, as she called him a showoff inside her heart.

Suddenly someone sat down beside her, Yang Nainai turned her head to look at the newcomer. It was Wang Yufei who had just been discharged from the hospital. There was still a piece of gauze stuck to his forehead, but he was in good spirits.

“Are you alright?” Wang Yufei asked.

Yang Nainai looked at him suspiciously, “What trouble can I get into? I have to ask you that question instead. How are you doing?”

“I’m good. I was discharged from the hospital two days ago. I saw Zhang Qiyun as soon as I came to school. What happened to him? Wasn’t he supposed go to Shanghai? Why did he transfer here?”

Wang Yufei was slightly worried and looked attentively at Yang Nainai.

Yang Nainai sneered, “Only the d3vil knows why he’s here. I'm not his mother, so why should I care about his d@mn business?!”

Seeing how harsh she was when she talked of him, Wang Yufei felt even more worried,

“Yang Nainai, are you really okay? If that b@stard dares to bully you again, you must tell me so that I can beat him to death!”

Yang Nainai was silent for a while. She then turned and ruffled his hair.

“Aiyo, my little Feifei has grown up and knows how to protect his sister now. Don't worry, big sister is always fine. I'm no longer that little fool who allows other people to bully me easily anymore.”

Wang Yufei broke free from her hands,

“Let go, let go! Don't mess up my hairstyle!”

He straightened his hair and huffed,

"It’s good that you’re fine and luckily both of you are not in the same class, so you won’t have much chance to meet each other face to face. You can just pretend not to know him at all when you meet him. You’re gonna have your college entrance exam soon anyway, so you should study without any worries.”

Yang Nainai laughed at him,

“Aye aye! After coming back from the hospital, you have become a righteous monk. I’ll take note of that, sifu[1]! Your disciple will concentrate  fully on studying and won’t cause any trouble!”

“Be careful!!”

Someone shouted loudly and before they could react, Wang Yufei was hit directly by a flying basketball.

Fortunately, the ball hit him on the chest, and the force wasn’t too strong either. He held the ball against his chest as he froze still for two seconds. Yang Nainai quickly reacted, and when she turned back, she saw Huo Yixuan running over to apologize with a smile,

“My apologies, did I hurt you, student? I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do that.”

Although he said those words to Wang Yufei, his cold eyes locked on Yang Nainai’s face. Yang Nainai clearly saw a hint of warning in his gaze but she didn’t bother herself with it and paid more attention to Wang Yufei,

“Feifei, are you alright?”

Wang Yufei shook his head,

“I’m okay, He didn't hit my head.”

Huo Yixuan smiled and patted his shoulder,

“Student, do you want to play basketball, we are short of one guy now.”

Wang Yufei saw his sincere smile and thought that he probably imagined the cold light in his eyes just now. He was just about to agree when Yang Nainai pulled him away,

“I'm sorry to tell you that he has just been discharged from the hospital so he needs a good rest. Please continue your game without us, we have to go now.”

She returned the basketball to Huo Yixuan and dragged Wang Yufei away from the basketball court.

Huo Yixuan looked at their retreating backs and threw the basketball to his teammates with a half-smile, and continued on the game.

“Sis, what's the matter with you? Why are you so nervous?”

Yang Nainai glanced at him, “Nothing is wrong. You were just discharged from the hospital so you should go back and have a good rest. After you’ve fully recovered, you can come out and play.”

She then walked upstairs.

Wang Yufei felt that something was wrong with her, yet if Yang Nainai didn’t say anything, he couldn't guess what her problem was either. He could only shout at Yang Nainai's back,

“Sis, you must tell me if something is wrong, okay?”

Yang Nainai waved her hand and disappeared around the corner.

On the basketball court, Huo Yixuan scored another shot thus ending the game. Everyone dispersed after that.

Jiang Jiahe handed him the mineral water and jokingly said,

“Are you holding a grudge against that kid just now?"

“Why are you asking me that?”

Huo Yixuan took the water bottle and paused his action midway.

“You purposely shot that ball at him just now. If you didn't have a grudge against him, why would you need to do that? Do you need brother to help you clean him up a bit?”

Jiang Jiahe actually wanted to know what kind of grudges he had against him.

Huo Yixuan took a sip of water and chuckled,

“You’re thinking too much, it's just an accident.”

Jiang Jiahe sneered, “I don't believe that.”
