When she saw Huo Yixuan, she immediately remembered how he bullied her. The
encounter with Hu Sili today had caused all the unfortunate events of the
past to bombard her brain all at once.
Yang Nainai's irritability, depression and pain had reached a pinnacle so
when she saw Huo Yixuan, she felt as if she was facing an enemy. She now
wished that she could swallow him whole.
They were all predatory wolves, and each of them was even worse than the
last.
“Go away, don't bother me.”
Yang Nainai shook off Huo Yixuan and walked pass him.
Huo Yixuan waited for so long and he didn't expect to be treated so rudely.
He is also a pampered young master so how can he stand being bullied by
someone else!
He ignored her warning and tugged Yang Nainai to the corner then pressed her
against the wall,
“You didn’t see me all afternoon, and you've suddenly grown some new bad
habits. Now you even dare to be rude to me. Tell me, who was the one to give
you this kind of courage?!”
Yang Nainai lowered her head as her grievance and anger intertwined. She
couldn't stop her tears from flowing down her face. She then raised her foot
and kicked him hard. She picked up the medicine bag while he was still
reeling over in pain and hit him with it.
“You b4st4rds, you are all b4st4rds. You all bully me one after another. You
are not even good people at all. Go and die, go and die all of you.”
The plastic bag ripped when it could no longer hold up against the force
that Yang Nainai was using against him. Her gauze, tonics and medicine now
laid scattered on the ground.
Huo Yixuan had been beaten twice by her actions before he grabbed her hands
to stop her. He then said fiercely,
“Why are you going crazy again, you...”
The dim street light finally highlighted that something was wrong with Yang
Nainai.
Yang Nainai was in tears, while her face had blotches of blue and purple
bruises. It was obvious that someone had bullied her.
“What's wrong, who bullied you?”
Huo Yixuan’s heart squeezed in shock. He immediately went in to wipe her
tears while his heart ached in distress.
Yang Nainai pushed him away while she shouted at him tearfully,
“You can stop pretending to be kind. You are exactly like them because
you’re all f#cking inhuman.”
She ran tearfully into the elevator after that, shocking the three occupants
inside. Yang Nainai hugged herself protectively at a corner then pressed the
button to her floor, She kept her back turned in front of everyone that were
present.
When she reached the 12th floor, she ran out in a hurry, and burst into
tears as soon as she entered the door. She slowly curled her body into a
fetal position, crying for all the unfairness in her life.{If you are

Huo Yixuan was stunned for a long time before breaking out of his reverie.
His worried gaze finally landed on the medication that was scattered on the
floor. He noticed that some of them were broken so they could no longer be
used. He immediately left his community area to go to the nearby pharmacy to
buy her medication again.
Huo Yixuan was not in a good mood throughout his journey.
This was the first time he had seen Yang Nainai sad since he’d met her. He
had known her for so long and he had always admired her strength and her
brave approach to her problems. He never had to worry even if he took
advantage of the situation and acted indecently with her since she’d never
hated him with such fervor before.
He always thought that Yang Nainai was greedy for money and had a l#stful
nature, so he could tease her all day long, and it was really fun to play
with her like this too. Yet when she cried today, Huo Yixuan suddenly
experienced a different emotion. He could feel the dull persistent ache that
was stabbing on his chest right now, and it made him feel so frustrated that
he could die from it.
He carried the bag of medication and pressed the doorbell to her house. It
rang several times, but no one answered the door.
He began to feel anxious and started knocking,

“Nainai, Nainai, are you inside? Open the door!”
He pounded on the door several times, but no one responded. Huo Yixuan
didn't care about anything else so he just took out his spare key and opened
the door.
It was pitch-dark inside, and he could barely see where he was going. Only
the dim street lights that reflected off the furnishings inside the house
made the house look less dark.
Huo Yixuan felt uneasy as he turned on the lights to look around the house.
Yang Nainai's schoolbag was thrown carelessly on the ground while not a
single person was present in the living room. He could only hear the sound
of water coming from the bathroom.
He went towards it in big strides, opened the bathroom door, and saw Yang
Nainai sitting on the ground while water poured over her in abandon.
Huo Yixuan stepped forward in a panic, turned off the nozzle, and forced
Yang Nainai to look at him. Huo Yixuan felt his heartstrings tug in pain
when he saw her crying. He immediately pulled her into his arms,
“It's alright, it's alright now, don't be afraid, I'm here with you.”

Yang Nainai grieved for the unfairness she had experienced. She was now like
a fragile little animal, trying to lick her wounds alone. Yet Huo Yixuan's
sudden appearance sent her axis off kilter, lulling her to temporarily
believe that he was someone she could rely on. She ceased to care about
other things at that very moment so she buried her head on his chest and
cried her heart out while her slender fingers clutched desperately at his
clothes.
Since that incident, she had not cried like this for many years, nor had she
wept in front of anyone after that.
That was because she understood one thing from that day onwards. Crying was
useless, no one will let her go just because of her tears.
However, she felt really cornered today. Huo Yixuan's appearance made her
ignore that fact, and she just wanted a warm embrace so she could have a
good cry.
She felt so tired and aggrieved, and really needed someone to care about
her.
Huo Yixuan gently patted her on the back and comforted her over and over
again until Yang Nainai stopped crying.
Yang Nainai finally calmed down, and asked Huo Yixuan with a tinge of tears
in her voice, to go out so she could shower.
Huo Yixuan kissed her forehead and said,
“I’ll be outside, call me if you need anything.”
Yang Nainai nodded obediently.
When she came out, Huo Yixuan pulled her to sit on the sofa and dressed her
wounds himself.
Hu Sili had went so crazy today that she went on a rampage so Yang Nainai
not only had scratches on her neck, but also sustained unfortunate marks on
her face. There were bruises on the corners of her lips, while her right
cheek was now a swollen mess.
“What the hell happened? Who beat you up like this, did you call the
police?”
Huo Yixuan's tone became vicious when he thought of her being bullied like
this.
“Sssii! Take it easy.” Yang Nainai couldn't help hissing out in pain, “Don't
ask about this anymore. This is just a fight between girls so I don't want
to talk about it.”
Huo Yixuan stopped when he heard her words. His gaze deepened as he looked
at her,
“Is it related to me??”
She couldn’t fault him for thinking like this, it wasn’t as if there weren’t
any girls who became jealous and fought over him before. At that time, those
people were irrelevant to him. Now that this happened to Yang Nainai, he was
pissed off when he thought about it.
Yang Nainai rolled her eyes at him,
“Don’t be so vain, did you really think that girls will fight only because
of you?! Don't ask anymore, it has nothing to do with you. They’ve already
called the police and arrested her, I'm not such an easy person to bully.”
After a short period of vulnerability, Yang Nainai put up her hard
protective shell again. She now wore such a stubborn expression that Huo
Yixuan couldn't help kissing her.

Yang Nainai was caught off guard and glared at him.
Huo Yixuan chuckled, “If you can act cute like this again, then you’re fine
now.”
“Who is acting cute, what nonsense are you talking about?” Yang Nainai
pouted and glared at him.
Huo Yixuan smiled without saying a word, and then helped her to put on the
ointment for bruises and massaged the bruised area a few times before
putting it away.
Yang Nainai looked at the time, it was almost nine o'clock, and she couldn't
help but say,
“It's getting late, you should go back. I want to rest too.”
Before Huo Yixuan spoke, Yang Nainai's tummy rumbled in protest.
After being tormented for a whole afternoon, she didn't even manage to eat
lunch.
Huo Yixuan grinned at her so she used her fist to hit him shyly,
“What are you looking at, go back quickly, I have to rest soon.”
Huo Yixuan said, “You haven't had your meal yet, right? I'll go buy
something for you, what do you want to eat?”
Yang Nainai hugged her pillow and turned her head,
“Don't worry about it, just go.”
Huo Yixuan really got up and opened the door to leave.
As soon as he left, Yang Nainai was stunned, staring at the closed door,
feeling frustrated,
“What is this, when I tell you to go, you really left. Why aren't you this
obedient during normal days, so hateful.”
Depressed, Yang Nainai laid on the sofa and hugged her pillow with low
spirits. She didn’t realize that she laid there for more than ten minutes
and got up only when her stomach started to rumble loudly. She had to get up
now to get something to eat.
She opened the refrigerator only to realize that it was completely empty.
There wasn’t even a cup of instant noodles inside her house.
Yang Nainai couldn’t believe how scatterbrained she was,
“Why did I forget to buy the groceries?!”
She closed the fridge door and thought about to going out to buy things, but
she felt that it was a bit too late at night and she didn't feel like
stepping out of the house either. So she picked up her phone and swiped
through the app to see if there are any nearby take-away restaurants that
was available for delivery at this late hour.
The door suddenly opened while she browsed through her phone. Huo Yixuan
then walked in with the takeaway food.
