When Fox made the decision to reposition the other maids elsewhere, he was worried that the stupid Tang Cheng Cheng would accidentally make a blunder and expose all their secrets. It would be easy to tell that she was different than usual and people would start to have some doubts about their situation. Then there was a high chance that someone would misunderstand that Young Master Li is being possessed and really tell a Mao Shan master to come by to exorcise the demons and scare away the ghosts. If that happens then they would both be in really big trouble because he didn’t have his powers with him right now. This was the first time that his soul was exchanged with someone too, so he didn’t know whether it will really be possible for the Taoist master to take him away then keep his soul.
Who knew that his rash decision would come and bite him in the end!
“Bastard, I will definitely find the person who pushed me down the lake that day!”
Fox was cursing while he held the food basket grudgingly in his arms.
There was a full moon that night, and it was the best time to absorb the divine powers of the moonlight to increase the endurance and capacity of his mana too.
He stood at the water pavilion that night, while he opened both his arms wide so that his jade-like face can bask under the lustrous white perfection of the full moon. When he was drawing in the divine power of the moonlight, a creaking sound broke the calm silence of the night.
He immediately put down his hands and turned his head towards the direction of the sound. The candlelight above him suddenly extinguished and someone pushed him down with a big force. He tried to grab on to anything around him to avoid falling into the lake but in the end, he still plunged into the water.
This wasn’t really such a big deal anyway.
He only needed to get himself out of the water and catch the person who was trying to harm him, then he would be able to fulfil Li Hai Jiao’s wishes without putting in too much effort.
Yet, when he was floating on the water’s surface, he saw an insignificant human who also jumped into the lake and was trying to swim towards him. Yet that originally confident swimming strokes started to flap around in a panic.
Should he save someone or catch the person who had tried to harm him?
When he turned back, there was no one else in the water pavilion.
He thought about it, although he paid less attention to his surroundings when he was concentrating on drawing in the divine powers of the moonlight, it was still not possible for someone to get that close to him without him detecting it. The person must have possessed abnormal powers and the fact that the person disappeared without a trace in a blink of an eye confirmed that fact in spades. He concluded that it might not be that easy to catch that person so he should just go and save the person who was still struggling in the water.
Mortals will never be able to overwrite the fates that were arranged by the heavens[1] and they ended up exchanging their souls when he saved her.
He originally wasn’t this fired up to catch the person who had harmed Li Hai Jiao.
He was still enjoying the luxurious lifestyle in the Li Household because he was served three sumptuous meals a day without fail and was clothed lavishly too! As the eldest Young master, when he wants to drink tea, a pair of hands will provide it for him, when he wants to eat, he only needed to open his mouth and chew. This kind of lifestyle was too comfortable and he was very very satisfied with it so he didn’t bother much about other things around him. He ate and drank well everyday, so he started to be complacent and waited for Li Hai Jiao’s killer to make the first move. He only need to catch him and move on with his life.
It was just that he planned his plans too perfectly and he ended up losing his magical abilities. Now that he had become a maid, he even had to fetch his own food in the kitchen too!
He was worried because his body was now occupied by Tang Cheng Cheng. That girl’s brain was stupid and if the killer actually made a move, she will definitely die, so he needed to start preparing.
That was because, in the end, his body would be harmed and if she really ended up dying, they will not be able to change their souls back into their own bodies!
He started planning his next move in his head. A sudden cold air swept past him, blocking the way out of the residence.
The one that was now stopping him were Li Er and Shun Er who were Li Hai Jiao’s previous personal maids.
After they were repositioned, two of them were temporarily placed in the residence of Madam Li. They were now doing the job of second class maids in the household. They were not only demoted one rank down, their monthly salary was also less than before. They were also now less respected by the servants around them causing them to nurse their anger inside their petty hearts. If they didn’t release their grudges today on someone, the immense hatred in their hearts would fester on and consume their souls.
Two of them had a lot of respect for Li Hai Jiao and also had a crush on him too. All their benefits had disappeared overnight and they both agreed that the eldest Young Master was seduced by too many of her dirty tricks. She was also an ugly and undeserving girl, so how can they keep quiet about this?
They both guessed that Tang Cheng Cheng probably hid some tricks up her sleeves or maybe she had even drugged the young master!
They have to do the right thing now and retaliate against her, so they can both save the eldest Young master!
Fox looked at them impatiently with cold eyes while they were still blocking his path.
When he was pretending to be Li Hai Jiao, two of them took turns to fawn over him from morning till night. From time to time, they even pretended to sound surprise with that nasal voice of theirs——
“Young master why did you just do that?”, “Young master, what are you doing?”, “Young master, didn’t you put this here as a habit?”, ”Young master, let Li Er/Shun Er help you with that, you shouldn’t bother yourself too much about it.” And the list went on and on and on.

He never knew Li Hai Jiao as a person before this, so he naturally didn’t know his daily habits. He didn’t realize that he had lived such a boring life, being the all proper and courteous nerd. It was easy if he wanted to live more excitingly because these two women stared lustfully at him day and night, hovering around, yapping at him until he felt so annoyed with them. Now that he had successfully moved them away from him, what did they want from him now?
“Oi!” Li Er’s[2] tone was very rude which went very much against the meaning of her own name.
“What methods did you actually use to let Young Master like you so much?”
“You better tell us honestly or else we will both break open your head!”
Shun Er held up her fists, her straight brows and sharpened gaze were oozing a fierce and evil aura. The Demon Fox who Tang Cheng Cheng had called a “violent person” had to admire her ferocious energy.
She was always sweet and warm in front of Li Hai Jiao and now she had turned into savage she-wolf[3]!
Fox no longer held himself back and said:
“I have eldest Young Master’s lunch in my hands and you all still dare to block my way. If you hurt me, I will ask Young Master to break your head instead.”
“Yo, did you hear how scccarrry her voice is?! Hahahaha”
The two maid cackled like a banshee, while Fox’s fist were starting to feel a little itchy.
“You definitely put him under some evil spell. If we find out any evidence of it, you will definitely not be able to swallow all your sins and walk out of this place without any consequences!”
The two of them left pompously after warning her.
What kind of big show are they trying to act now?
Fox didn’t want to waste his energy thinking too hard on this matter. He now had a really big appetite, so he was really really hungry. He now only wish to satisfy all his five major organs, and go back as soon as he can to the Hai Ya residence.
Yet when he returned, he realized that Tang Cheng Cheng had disappeared!

[1]人算不如天算- translates directly to the counting done by human will never be as accurate as the counting that was made by the heavens. It means that you can never outrun what was fated to happen.
[2] 礼儿 - Li Er’s name means the courteous one.
[3]母夜叉 was the exact word used here. It translates roughly to female night fork. A coarse and vile woman who solves her problems with violence. I couldn’t find a satisfying English equivalent so I used savage she wolf instead.
